Moved from subgenus Macrobasis.

E murina is a northern species, south to WY - CO, while E. torsa is found from NC - TX. Also, 2nd antennal segment slightly shorter.

J.D.Pinto says, "A female of either Epicauta torsa or E. murina.
"Females of these species distinguished primarily by shape of segment I and minor differences in relative length of other segments - details of these features can't be seen well enough here."
