Habronattus ophrys (?) - Habronattus ophrys - male

Habronattus ophrys (?) - Habronattus ophrys - Male
Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA
May 17, 2014
Pretty sure this is an H. ophrys, dead ringer for this

It's the first specimen I've ever seen. It jumps farther and runs faster than most common salticids in my area. Fortunately it stopped for a look around and made a good video subject for a couple of minutes.

Moved
Moved from Jumping Spiders.

Moved for the experts
Moved from ID Request. I think you are in the right genus, but it is not my area of expertise. I've moved your images to the family page where other Salticid experts weigh in.

oh well
send it to the salticid heap if you must, but it's gotta be ophrys with those unique palp and abdominal patterns and in PNW region.
