Red-head? - Chrysomela texana

Red-head? - Chrysomela texana
Desoto, Dallas County, Texas, USA
May 21, 2014
I thought this was going to be C. texana, but now I see that its pronotum is somewhat darkened so I'm unsure. Came to light.

Moved
Moved from Frass.

Looks pretty nice for frass
especially with the unusual color you mention

I was re-thinking that myself...
Mike Quinn already has some lovely images for Texas, but I'll move this one in case it might help with the color difference.

Frassed
Moved from Chrysomela.

texana is correct, confirmed by Shawn Clark
