minute, wide, pale springtail - Lepidocyrtus

minute, wide, pale springtail - Lepidocyrtus
Windham, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, USA
Size: av. 0.59 mm
Collected and photographed Jan. 1, 2007 by sifting hand-shredded moss and fungus samples gathered Dec. 9, 2006 from wooded area.

Like the "golden" springtail from same sample, this one was hyperactive, running and hopping all over the inside of the container, making it difficult to focus and shoot.

Lepidocyrtus sp.
A juvenile specimen.

Thanks, Frans.
I thought it must fall into the same category as the minute golden one.
