ID for a bug nymph? - Catorhintha apicalis

This bug nymph was observed on California Four O'Clock (Mirabilis laevis var. crassifolia) at the Claremont Colleges' Bernard Field Station in an area of recovering coastal sage scrub that burned seven months previously. I wondered if it might be a nymph of this bug, which was one the same plant:
