Wolf Spider (Lycosidae)
I am slightly questioned by this one. At first I was tempted to say Schizocosa avida

An S. avida from Ohio:

However, I then realized that the dorsal stripe was way too thin for an S. avida. It most likely is a male Tigrosa sp..

This one above (from Ohio) shows similar characteristics to your specimen. The individual is only labelled to the genus, Tigrosa. However, I believe it may be a male Tigrosa helluo. They are quite common in your state.

I will get back to you on this. Laura and Lynette may give you more information as well.

Edit: I've done some checking and found this Indiana individual, labelled as Tigrosa helluo, that shows resemblance to your individual.

I think it is safe to say that this is T. helluo; however, I will let Laura and Lynette decide on the final details for this.
