ursina group - B. ursina or B. decempustulata
Both species occur in Kentucky. The small size and pale color of the spots suggest B. decempustulata, but I think the edges of the spots might be a little too orange. It's a little hard to tell with the lighting in the photos. In hand, did the spots seem more cream/yellow in color, or was there a distinct orange tinge?
B. ursina tends to be larger than B. decempustulata, but that's basically a difference of 1-1.5 mm - difficult to determine in the field!

It is
More yellow in color. I caught another one but they are so tiny it slipped out before I could get it in a container so I really don't know what it was, just very tiny LOL.
Beautiful little beetles though.

B. decempustulata, then
Even though keys sometimes describe B. ursina with yellow spots, that's based on preserved specimens in collections - color fades in only a few years. Live beetles are vividly colored, and even the palest B. ursina have at least a bright orange rim around the spots. So I'm going with B. decempustulata here.
