Conotrachelus texanus? - Pheloconus cribricollis

Conotrachelus texanus? - Pheloconus cribricollis
Franklin County, Missouri, USA
May 20, 2014
Only have this one image. Maybe someone will see enough to make an ID. My best shot in the dark is Conotrachelus texanus, but that may be way off. If unidentifiable please feel free to frass. Thanks

excellent shot of a neat Cono --thanks, Jack
zero chance it will end up in Frass; sending it to Dr. Anderson, hope he chimes in

Moved from Snout and Bark Beetles.

Thanks v!
I appreciate all your help.

Pheloconus cribricollis
This is Pheloconus cribricollis. The deep dense pronotal punctures are very similar to C. texanus but it's not that species which is, I think, not that far north ranging.

Thanks Robert
