Moved from ID Request.

This image is being moved to the genus page even though Puerto Rico is not presently included in BugGuide but may be in the future.

This skipper is what Butterflies of America names Perichares philetes.
Butterflies of America - Perichares philetes

Butterflies of America uses the binomen Perichares adela for the images that are presently labeled in BugGuide as Perichares philetes.

Excellent, thanks William
Important to have this as a placeholder to help get all the taxonomy clarified.

Thanks
thanks a lot william

Possibly - Perichares philetes

Looks like skipper to me....
I believe it may be a type of skipper due to the curled ends of the antenna. Other than that I will have to leave it to the more skilled IDers.
Since you live in Puerto Rico, the odds of finding a match on this site is slim since it is primarily for mainland US, Alaska, Hawaii, & Canada. Unless it is a stray or migrant to Florida, you probably will not find it here. Do you have a local source that may be able to help you?
Now if we could just get a few of these beautiful specimens into my garden for the next 50 years or so.....

thanks
Thanks a lot
