Unusual Heterocampa Moth - ID Request - Cecrita belfragei - female

Unusual Heterocampa Moth - ID Request - Cecrita belfragei - Female
Camp Wood, Edwards County, Texas, USA
May 29, 2014
Size: apx. 21 mm long
I am wondering if this is Hodges #7988 Heterocampa Belfragei? It is definitely a female. She has already laid eggs. She is smaller than the H. Astartoides females that I have measured at 27mm. I also currently had a H. Astartoides that laid eggs and they are larger than hers. From the pinned specimens I thought one might be a female and one a male and they looked to be differently marked.

I think you're correct.
I was just browsing TX Heterocampa and this really looks like H. belfragei. Perhaps it would be good to add another live picture on that species?

.
Thanks for calling my attention to this one. Will move it. I was definitely identified as H. belfragei after a LOT of back and forth with Dave.
