I hang a banana over the upstairs deck for butterflies to visit and feed on. This beetle showed up (and fed) on it. ID help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Food…
The larvae bore into and feed on decayed or dead hardwoods such as elm and maple. I don't think the adults are herbivorous.
