Fly - Cochliomyia macellaria

Fly - Cochliomyia macellaria
Cross Plains, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
August 31, 2006
Secondary screwworm (Cochliomyia macellaria)?

Cochliomyia macellaria
Terry Whitworth det.

Moved from Blow Flies.

Not sure.
All the C. macellaria I have seen have been wholly metallic green. There is probably individual variation, but I'm not qualified to make a conclusive ID for this specimen.
