Hogna Wolf Spider Identification - Tigrosa grandis - male

Hogna Wolf Spider Identification - Tigrosa grandis - Male
Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas, USA
October 9, 2011
Size: 21mm
I realized that I had more pictures of this individual. Unfortunately, no ventrals were ever taken. The yellow face doesn't seem as prominent in this individual (probably due to the bad quality). However, the dorsal abdominal pattern does share similarity to T. grandis. I'm not sure about the whole T. aspersa issue since it appears the spiders I thought were T. aspersa were actually T. grandis.
