Nitidulidae? - Epuraea

Nitidulidae? - Epuraea
Fredericton, York County, New Brunswick, Canada
May 31, 2014
Size: 3 mm
Really bad pictures. Appologies. Taken with a poor camera and microscope combination.

Any ID here would be appreciated (if possible).
I keep keying it out to Stelidota sp. using "A Manual of Common Beetles of Eastern North America" by Dillon and Dillon, but all images on BugGuide seem to have ridges on the elytra (mine doesn't).

Andy Cline is revising the nearctic fauna

Thanks V
I'll have to work backwards from Epuraea and figure out where I went wrong, then try to go forward and figure out species.

no chance to figure out species in this group without dissection
...or molecular fingerprinting; 16 spp. recorded in NB(1)
there are several distinctive congeners in your area, but this one is as nondescript as it gets

Thanks for the info...
...and saving me from driving myself crazy.
Are these worth moving, or frassable?
