After looking at the lateral image, I think I see a fairly well-defined projecting supra-antennal carinae (frontal margin). The size is also helpful if truly 17 mm.

Moved from Melanotus.

Moved from Click Beetles.

I have a couple more images that I thought I posted already. Let me finish the other one that I am posting and then I will add them, so check back in a little bit.

ok...
I wish you sent me your specimens for voucher-ID; I could use the county data for my treatise on the southeastern click beetles (if you maintian a personal collection, I can return them)

No Problem
I actually still have the two specimens that I posted today. They are alive and I was going to release if no further pictures were needed for an ID. Would you like me to dispatch them in alcohol?
I also have the last two specimens that I posted and then one more dead one that I found on my kitchen counter today that I will photograph tonight or tomorrow. I will number the specimens and the images so we can keep track of them. You can email me with your info.

please send anytghin you can :)
you can email me from the addy on my profile for shipping info, etc. I appreciate it!

Also
Check out the last pictures of the pasture wireworm. I was still posting when you gave the ID on it. Lol
