Homoneura (Tarsohomoneura) americana (Wiedeman), male
Moved from Subgenus Tarsohomoneura. ID'd from specimen using Miller 1977. Specimen a photo-voucher.

Thanks to Charley Eiseman, who kindly forwarded me a copy of Miller's paper.

Homoneura (Tarsohomoneura) sp., male
Moved from Lauxaniidae. ID'd from specimen, now a photo-voucher. Thanks John.

Its not really visible in the angle of your photos, but the hind tarsomeres are black and white, with the second tarsomere distinctly dilated. Quite striking.

This male keys to Homoneura (Tarsohomoneura) compedita Loew (sensu Malloch & McAtee 1924 and Shewell 1938), which was moved into synonymy with H. americana (Wiedemann) in Stone et al. (1). However, there is a more recent revision of this genus, Miller 1977. I don't have a copy and it's not online, and I would rather wait to see it before placing to species.

I added a shot
with a little better focus on the hind tarsomeres, still a little blurry but it does show the dilated tarsomere. Thanks.
