Thank you
Thank you V Belov, it seems I can always count on you to help me through these ID's on beetles.

Cleridae
Perhaps this one or something similar?

Cregya oculata
With your helpful hint, I checked the Cleridae family out in a new book that I received, "Beetles of Eastern North America - Evans, 2014" It certainly looks like the one on page 269 and is labeled as Cregya oculata. Checking the images in BG with this listing, it looks dead on. Thank you again for setting the course in the right direction. I'll leave it as is until someone with more experience replies.
