Seems pretty large to still have a juvenile pattern
and we think of the Rat Snakes as climbers, but some herp person will likely know for certain. Sorry we missed the gathering this year :(

Black Rat
for sure. Remnants of the juvenile pattern remain in the adult, sometimes only visible on skin between the scales in older specimens. A racer wouldn't hang around to be photographed while making an ascent. Another test would be to gently grasp the snake, if it immediately begins to chew on your finger it is probably a racer, the rats are much more reserved.

but juvenile black racer was also suggested, so I'm not sure.
