Bee on Phacelia #3 - Conanthalictus - Female

Many bees were zipping around in the Distant Phacelia (Phacelia distans) at the Claremont Colleges' Bernard Field Station. I was not able to get decent photos, but any information – even family – will be greatly appreciated!

Once we've seen how far it's possible to get with an ID, I'll frass the photo.

If 3SM cells likely C. bakeri
If 2 SM cells and larger then a Dufourea

Why frass useful photos?

Based on specimens collected
April 16, 2015, I think this photo looks like it is also a Conanthalictus. With some effort, after having examined my specimens, I think I can see three submarginal in Nancy's photo.

Thank you so much! I won't frass if it's useful. I just thought it wasn't a very good photo and that we weren't likely to get very far with an ID. Conanthalictus had been previously identified at the field station, but we didn't have any photos, so this is actually nice for us to have.
