Insect covered with a clear shield - Charidotella sexpunctata

Insect covered with a clear shield - Charidotella sexpunctata
Beavercreek, Greene County, Ohio, USA
June 7, 2014
I have no idea what this is. It appears to be covered with a highly-reflective clear shield. It landed on a leaf of my Rhus typhina 'Laciniata' (Cutleaf Staghorn Sumac), wandered about a bit, decided it didn't like being photographed, and flew away.

Thank you
for the quick response, Ken. I moved it to Family to see if I can get the ID confirmed.
