probably introduced chrysomelid - Brachypnoea clypealis

probably introduced chrysomelid - Brachypnoea clypealis
Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, USA
June 8, 2014
The people at the nursery that I collected this at said that they had not noticed these before about 2 years ago, which leads me to believe that they are introduced. They were very common on Echinacea purpurea blossoms, apparently eating the flowers, but were found elsewhere sweepnetting where there were no flowers of any sort. I live only a few miles from this place and have E. purpurea in my yard and have never seen these.
