a Cyrtophorus I saw once. Take a look HERE... ( of course, I could be waay off base!)

this is actually one of the ant-mimic hemipterans (maybe Miridae, I cant remember)

 
Given your clue
and poking through the Guide, this looks a lot like certain nymphs in Family Alydidae - Broad-headed Bugs. Especially this one . I have photographed Alydus eurinus in my town before, so perhaps that is it? Or something similar ... thanks, Blaine.
