Fishing spider? - Dolomedes vittatus - Glen Burnie, Maryland, USA December 15, 2006 Size: 8cm body 2cm
I found this spider gliding on the water's edge of Marley Creek just under a bridge. Because it is so big I believe it to be female. It has been in captivity for a few weeks now. She has been eating well as the photo suggests. For size relevance the cricket is medium. There are no visible marks on the abdomen. I believe it's a fishing spider but I don't know which one.
