spittle bugs - Clastoptera hyperici

spittle bugs - Clastoptera hyperici
Germantown Metropark, Montgomery County, Ohio, USA
June 12, 2014
Hypericum (St. John's wort) shrub heavily infested with spittle bug masses. Could they be anything other than Clastoptera hyperici?

Attempting to rear some to adults, but I have no idea if that's remotely feasible. Will take and post pictures of exposed nymphs asap. Update: too small for me to get a good shot with my camera. May attempt to get one under the scope.

C. hyperici
I'm fairly certain that Clastoptera hyperici is the only spittle bug that could be feeding on St. John's wort, although I have nothing to compare this specimen to. Would be the first of this species for the guide.
