This moth came to a mercury vapor lamp set-up at Aspen Ranch 31 May 2014 at 9200 ft, National Forest Road 412 near the Aspen Ranch Trailhead #9 of Rio en Medio Trail #163, Santa Fe National Forest, Aspen Basin 7.5’ quadrangle, Santa Fe Co., NM. Size is determined from the sheet it's on having 80 by 100 threads per inch.

Follow-up 29DEC2016: The alternating pattern of light and darker brown subquadrate patches separated by narrow white borders sparsely peppered with black scales uniquely matches the MPG images of Eucosma bobana. The species is recorded there from neighboring counties to the east and west.
