Size: one inch
Today this lovely creature flew into my cherry tree. I have multiple images if anyone is interested in more.

Thank you so much, Ken. I could not find any leads and now I know why. How fascinating! It's mouth parts were intense. So, Elm trees? Guess I'll do some more digging. Don't know why he/she was on my cherry tree.
