Lady Beetle - Coleomegilla maculata

This lady beetle looks a lot like Richard's [cite:4490], which Patrick ID'd as Coleomegilla maculata. The spot pattern looks right. I wonder if the beetle is eating that little "ball" of stuff, or if it was something that it made.
