Hartigia riesi Smith, female. Larvae are stem borers, probably in Rosa or Rubus. Adults like yellow flowers.

Thank you so much for this information. This was such an interesting sighting and this information makes it more so. We definitely have wild rose in the area, ribes aureum, ribes cereum and many yellow flowers in Spring.
