The names thoosa, stella, julia, sara, and all the other segregates of this complex are not sorted out into more than one distinct species category on BugGuide as of yet, and the Pelham catalog is being followed.

Anthocharis julia stella
Stella is a ssp. of julia; not sara. Topotypical stella larvae from the NW side of Spooner Lake along North Canyon Road have been examined and confirmed as Anthocharis julia.
