Identification
thoracic hairs a brighter and darker orangish than in other similar species such as A. vicina. Metasomal terga are smooth and the vertex is relatively short (cf. the larger nivalis).
Range
Minnesota to New Brunswick and the New England states, south to North Carolina.
Habitat
usually in or near woodlands
Season
April to June.
