It looks like to color pattern on these viceroys look to almost mimic the Queen. The only viceroy I've seen closely resemble the monarch. Different ssp.?

Viceroy subspecies
archippus
mimics the Monarch. Viceroy subspecies
obsoleta
mimics the Queen (spp.
strigosus
in Bob's area) which like the Monarch is poisonous. (I have not read that the Viceroy mimics the Soldier but their ranges can overlap and the Soldier also eats milkweeds which probably makes them poisonous as well.)
