Paratettix mexicanus? - Paratettix mexicanus - Male

1.7 mi. NNW of Antelope Fire Control Station, Willow Springs, San Benito County, California, USA

Size: 8mm length
While sitting by our spring waiting for the arrival of photographic subjects, I noticed that a couple of tiny "dirt clods" where moving. When I looked closely, I realized that they were probably Pygmy Grasshoppers, one of the families we were required to collect for our collection when I took entomology way back in the late 1960s. First time I've seen one since then. Maybe Paratettix mexicanus? .
