Henry, T.J. (1989) Cariniocoris, a new phyline plant bug genus from the eastern United States, with a discussion of generic relationships (Heteroptera: Miridae). Journal of the New York Entomological Society, 97(1): 87-99.

Abstract

The new genus Cariniocoris is described to accommodate Plagiognathus geminatus Knight, P. ilicis Knight, and the new species C. nyssae from Florida and Maryland. Photographs of adults, illustrations of male genitalia, and micrographs of certain other structures are given and distributions and host plants are outlined.
