Selenophorus palliatus
based on my microscopic examination of this female specimen which is deposited in the P.W.Messer collection as a photo-voucher. The especially large elytral punctures are diagnostic. Thanks Iustin.

"Selenophorus" and its sister genus "Discoderus" are of particular importance to me as they are two taxonomically-difficult groups for which I'm now constructing workable keys for the North American fauna.
