Identification
body slender, elongate, variably light greenish to grayish to reddish-brown; forewings parallel-sided, at least 3 times longer than wide, and with dark markings at lateral tip of corium and lateral tip of cuneus; pronotum tapered, lateral margins slightly concave, posterior margin as wide as abdomen and at least 2 times wider than anterior margin of pronotum, which is same width as head; antennae as long as or slightly shorter than length of forewing, each antennal segment with pale ring (annulus) at joint; eyes positioned laterally, bulging beyond sides of head; distance between eyes as great or greater than width of eye; black spot often present on top of head between eyes

holarctic, with some representation in so. Asia & tropical Africa; in our area, most of the US and so. Canada
