Sorry Tom; re-evaluated with help from Serge LePlante. Unfortunately Danosoma is not well defined; Arnett's treatment did do a lot to separate the species. I am not sure what I used for identifying that specimen the first time but a re-examination of the groove/foveae on the pronotum does seem to support brevicorne
