Tiny Wasp - Trichogramma

Tiny Wasp - Trichogramma
Allison Park, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA
June 11, 2014
Possibly the smallest wasp I've seen, well below 1mm.

J.D.Pinto says, "Impossible to go beyond genus confidently...
"...without genitalic study. Antennal setation and color is consistent with the common T. pretiosum but other species share these general features as well."

My hat is off
to those who can dissect something that small.

Trichogramma…
Very nice, John. Among the smallest of insects, some less than 0.18mm in length.

See reference here.

It just happened to be in a vial
with another insect I captured. If it wasn't moving I never would have noticed it.
