Synchroidae - Synchroa punctata Meredith, Belknap County, New Hampshire, USA
Eclosed on or about Feb. 1. Up to this point I was for some reason expecting an alle*culine to eclose. Besides having deformed elytra and wing, this beetle still has its rumpled pupal skin attached at the rear. The light coloration means it has only recently eclosed from pupa.
