Stink bug id
Hello Ken, I look thru the Bugguide pictures under Podisus ( http://bugguide.net/node/view/453617 ) as you suggested. I found a few that I considered matches and on had a name of Spined Soldier Bug (Podisus maculiventris)http://bugguide.net/node/view/631806. They are close matches considering the changes with each instar phase. What do you think. Thank you for your time.

P. maculiventris was my thought, too.
However, nymphs are tough, so we should hold out for an expert opinion.
