The ID is correct, and the image is very nice...
However, it would be more helpful to most of BugGuide's visitors if it were cropped closer to "just the bug" as requested by the submission guidelines. Only you and the editors have the ability to view the full-size image.

thanks
There is one piece of info I'm not finding in the photo guidelines... what approximately are the smallest dimensions desirable? I ask because to crop much closer around the insect i would have to preserve the size of that specific part as it is viewed now (no further zoomed/ stretched, as i already have cropped much of the original away,) which would make the dimensions rather small. To crop closer and keep the final image somewhat large, it would become so blurry/ pixelated that it wouldn't be worth uploading. Just wondering, thanks for your time and help.

What's desirable...
...is a pic where the bug is clear and fills the frame as much as possible. There are no limits to how small an image can be, but images that are larger than 560 pixels on a side are automatically reduced to that size when uploaded.
If I download your full-size image and then crop it to "just the bug" (simply trim away the excess, with no other modifications) I end up with an image that's over 700 pixels on a side. You may think that's small, but it's still considerably larger than the 560-pixel version that's visible to most visitors.
Try cropping and uploading it, and see what you think. You can always go back to the original version if that seems best. :)
