Moved from Caddisflies.

I cannot determine family
from this pic - sorry

Polycentropus sp.?
What about Polycentropus for a genus?

What would be needed?

you would need to keep it
most caddis cannot be determined to species, or genus, and often family from habitus pics. I don't think we know anywhere near enough about color patterns. It has only been the recent development websites and digital cameras for images like yours to appear. Another reason is most photographers don't keep the specimen and have someone who knows caddis make a species determination to attach to the photo. You have a good pic but you can see it is very hairy and that hides many of the characters that are useful for family/genus determinations.

I see
Would you or do you know of anyone who would dissect them for me if I collected them?

I live in Oregon
so if you want to send them I would be happy to look at them for ya. Or I will ask around for someone back east who wants to do it if you want me to.

I'll be in touch.
