ID for a robber fly? - Efferia albibarbis - Female
Claremont, Los Angeles County, California, USA
June 27, 2014
Spotted by the boat landing at the Claremont Colleges' Bernard Field Station. If was first on a leaf of a wild grape, then flew to a rock, then to one of the ropes on a boat. Any information about its identity will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Thank you so much for the ID! This robber fly did not seem familiar to me, and in fact it is a new species for our field station invert list.
