Dogbane Beetle - Chrysochus auratus
Ellicott City, Howard County, Maryland, USA
June 30, 2014
Size: 1/2 inch or less
I found two individuals of this species on a milkweed species. One specimen appears to have a parasite at the end of the abdomen. The color was iridescent green, with reddish brown on the thorax.
