These small sawfly larvae managed to almost completely defoliate a "knockout rose" in my front garden before I even noticed. I have collected all the individuals I can find and am feeding them on the invasive multiflora rose.

no, unfortunately
Mold invaded the container and killed them. Maybe I'll find them again this year.

 
You will find them
They are on my rose bushes every year. I tried to encourage them to attack the multiflora rose without success. It would be nice if they could control this invasive.
