Actias luna - male

Actias luna - Male
Washington County, Vermont, USA
July 1, 2014
This moth was eaten by something after I took the photograph - I came back to find all four wings in tatters on the ground below where it had been perching.

I also have seen male luna moths come to the light on the evenings of June 25 and July 3, but this is the only one I've been able to photograph so far.
