Newly emerged Proctacanthus? - Microstylum morosum

Newly emerged Proctacanthus? - Microstylum morosum
Maypearl, Ellis County, Texas, USA
July 5, 2014
Size: 2"
Newly emerged very large robber fly, but don't know which one for sure. The Proctacanthus is the closest I could come.

Found it in the grass, I placed it on the tree.

Moved from Robber Flies.

Looks minutes
after emergence. Procta is a good guess.
