What separates this midge from most is that it has short front legs, or whatever you call them. as-well as brown color. I also have a top view, contact me if you need it. Thanks

Broken
The front legs of Chironomini often break at the tibia-tarsus joint.

I think this is a Glyptotendipes. It should have bare round to linear depressions in tergites 2-6.
