Remarks
Group includes obsoletus, dacne, and parvulus. These are dark flies. The first basal cell (br) is dark, the second (bm) clear. The apical spot is large, covering half of cell r4. The hyaline triangle reaches approximately to R2+3, if only as a thin wedge. The face lacks a yellow pollinose stripe. The frontal callus is dark. The side of the thorax has a yellow stripe, and there may be another above the wing base. The abdomen may have one or three dull, yellow stripes.
