Taken on Spite Highway on Elliott Key at approx 9:20am. The bug was crawling around on my cooler located in the back of a ATV.

M. brunneus
According to the key in Aguiar and Johnson (2003), M. brunneus is characterized by having a solid colored ovipositor (lacking the white band near the tip). This species is only reported in the very south tip of Florida and in Cuba. Most of the other images of bicolor have the white band, but this one appears to have a solid colored ovipositor.
