Four images will be initially included with this organism spotting. I assume this is a Robust shieldback, Atlanticus gibbosus, but I'm not sure. If there's anything I know about arthropods, it's that there's waaaaay more I don't know than I do. I found the critter hanging on the edge of a palm in Bulow Creek State Park -- not far from an old plantation ruin. The area is primarily palm riddled, though there's plenty of hardwood / oak as well. There is both fresh and brackish water in this area. Any help identifying this would be greatly appreciated!
